EEOC TO ANNOUNCE FILING OF DISABILITY LAWSUIT

DETROIT -- On Friday, May 24, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will announce the filing of a lawsuit under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The announcement will be made at a press conference scheduled for 10 a.m.at EEOC's office in the Patrick V. McNamara Federal Building, 447 Michigan Avenue, Room 865.

WASHINGTON -- I understand that Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America (MMMA) announced this morning that it has hired former U.S. Labor Secretary Lynn Martin to conduct a "third-party" review of the company's workplace policies and procedures. EEOC AND GENERAL DYNAMICS CORPORATION SETTLE AGE DISCRIMINATION CLASS ACTION SUIT FOR $2.5 MILLION

ST. LOUIS, MO - The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and General Dynamics Corporation today filed a settlement agreement in federal district court resolving an age discrimination suit for $2.5 million for 31 former employees.

The lawsuit arises out of a l992 layoff that occured soon after General Dyamics moved its corporate headquarters from St. Louis to Falls Church, Virginia. In May l991, about 110 employees were relocated to Falls Church, but
