Cornelia Gamlem is President of the GEMS Group ltd., a management consulting firm that offers Human Resources solutions. She consults with a wide range of clients on topics related to HR initiatives, business effectiveness and compliance, sexual harassment, employee relations, affirmative action compliance, and workplace diversity. With over 30 years of business and Human Resource experience, she served in a senior HR leadership role in a Fortune 500 company where she designed, and managed corporate-wide policies, programs and initiatives, and best human resources and employment practices.

An active volunteer with the Society for Human Resource Management, she has held a number of leadership positions, including serving on its Board of Directors in 2000 and 2001. From 1997 through 1999 she chaired its Workplace Diversity Committee. She has been selected to serve on SHRM’s 2004 Workplace Diversity Panel. Cornelia has authored articles and white papers for SHRM and other professional and industry publications as well as presented at conferences sponsored by national organizations including SHRM and the American Bar Association. She has been interviewed for and quoted in a number of publications, including Financial Times, New York Times, Fortune and Newsday, and testified before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has taught HR courses at a number of colleges and universities in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She is the author of two books on Affirmative Action.

Ms. Gamlem received a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from Marymount University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. She is certified as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Cornelia Gamlem has over 30 years of business and Human Resources experience and has dealt with many difficult behaviors along the way. She consults with a wide range of clients on topics related to HR initiatives, business effectiveness and compliance, sexual harassment, employee relations, affirmative action compliance, and workplace diversity. The co-author of two books on Affirmative Action, Cornelia has been interviewed for and quoted in a number of publications, including Financial Times, New York Times, Fortune and Newsday, and testified before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has also taught HR courses at a number of colleges in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. An active volunteer, she has held a number of national volunteer leadership positions for the Society of Human Resource Management
