Indianapolis District Office

Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 at 9:00 AM to 2:35 PM Eastern

Description

Conducting an effective EEO investigation is a crucial skill for employers.  A thorough and well-investigated complaint provides the EEOC with important information if a charge is filed against the company.  Skilled investigators help companies effectively deal with complaints as they arise, so issues are addressed timely and efficiently.  Employers can create positive environments and reduce conflicts when employees know their complaints will be fairly investigated and promptly resolved.

Understanding the theories of investigation, developing an investigative plan, and having good interview techniques are skill sets effective and efficient investigators should master. Even having a basic understanding of the investigative process can lead to better investigations and better resolutions to employee complaints.

This workshop also discusses basic negotiation skills and provides and EEOC legal update on current issues.
