Federal Sector Regulations

Federal regulations implement federal workplace discrimination laws. They are voted on by the Commission after the public has a formal opportunity to provide comments to EEOC.  The primary regulations addressing federal workplace discrimination claims are found in Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Management Directives

Management Directives instruct federal agencies about the administrative procedures for federal employee or applicant claims of employment discrimination.  Management Directive 110 provides information specifically about the federal EEO complaint process.

Guidance

EEOC Enforcement Guidance and Policy Guidance communicate the Commission's position on important legal issues, and are used to explain how the laws and regulations apply to specific workplace situations.
