Safie Specialty Foods Company Inc., which pickles vegetables in Chesterfield Township, Michigan, violated federal law by failing to remedy a complaint of sexual harassment and retaliating against four workers for either making or supporting the complaint, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) alleged in a lawsuit filed today.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, October 31, from 9:30 a.m. to noon ET at agency headquarters, 131 M Street, N.E. Washington, D.C. The meeting, entitled "Revamping Workplace Culture to Prevent Harassment," will be open to public observation.
