La Oficina del Distrito de Birmingham de la Comisión Para la Igualdad de Oportunidades en Empleo (EEOC) firmará un Memorando de Entendimiento (MOU) con el Consulado de México en Atlanta el 17 de abril. El acuerdo establece una relación permanente de colaboración entre estas dos entidades para dar a ciudadanos mexicanos información, orientación y acceso a recursos para la prevención de la discriminación laboral, independientemente de su condición legal. Ricardo Camara Sánchez, Cónsul General de México en Atlanta, y Delner Franklin-Thomas, director del Distrito de Birmingham, firmarán el acuerdo.
