Sean Ratliff

Acting Supervisory Trial Attorney, EEOC Denver Field Office

Sean Ratliff was hired by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in 2009 through the Commission's Honors Attorney Program. As a trial attorney for the Commission he has litigated and resolved several employment discrimination cases, including a 2013 trial victory under the ADA in which the jury award damages in excess of the statutory damages caps, and a $1.2 million settlement in a class case involving systemic harassment based on race and national origin. He was recently tapped to serve as Acting Supervisory Trial Attorney in the Denver office of the EEOC.

Mr. Ratliff's is a graduate of the University of Colorado Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review and published an article on cat's paw liability in employment discrimination cases. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Ratliff taught high school social studies in Jefferson County, Colorado.

He originally hails from Rockford, Michigan.
