Travis Hicks

Director, San Antonio Field Office

Meeting of March 20, 2013 - Development of a Quality Control Plan for Private Sector Investigations and Conciliations

Travis G. Hicks joined the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the San Antonio, Texas, office as an Investigator in 1989. He was selected to and conducted systemic investigative work from 2006 through 2000, at which time he was promoted to Enforcement Supervisor and responsible for an enforcement unit and the San Antonio office systemic effort. Mr. Hicks was subsequently promoted to Enforcement Manager in 2006; Acting Field Director in 2011; and his current position as San Antonio Field Director in 2012. He currently also serves as the EEOC Dallas District Systemic Coordinator.

Mr. Hicks obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Area Studies from Texas Tech University, and a Master of Business Administration degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Following completion of his formal education, Mr. Hicks volunteered and served in the Peace Corps/Ecuador as a Small Business Consultant, followed by employment in the private sector in marketing/sales and business administration for approximately eighteen years.
