Marc Bendick

Bendick and Egan Economic Consultants, Inc

Meeting of July 18, 2012 – Public Input into the Development of EEOC's Strategic Enforcement Plan

Dr. Marc Bendick, Jr. is a Washington-based employment economist with 30 years' experience as a researcher, policy analyst, and consultant. A graduate in economics and social psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, he holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin.

Marc has been an expert witness in 185 employment discrimination cases, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. These have included litigation on behalf of the EEOC, OFCCP, and Department of Justice, and many of the nation's largest employment class actions. He has also been a workforce diversity consultant to major employers such as Macy's Department Stores and The World Bank.

Marc is the author of 130 publications, including four books, many articles in scholarly journals, and testimony before Congressional committees. Currently, he is a member of the EEOC-sponsored National Academy of Science Expert Panel on Collecting and Analyzing Pay Information.
