Charlotte District Office

Meeting of July 18, 2012 – Public Input into the Development of EEOC's Strategic Enforcement Plan

Reuben Daniels, Jr. is the District Director of the Charlotte District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He plans and directs Enforcement activities as well as Outreach and Educational programs throughout the District in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina in support of the Agency mission to identify and eliminate unlawful discrimination from the workplace. His service with EEOC has included work as a Trial Attorney, Administrative Judge and Supervisory Trial Attorney. During the seven years immediately preceding the Charlotte appointment, he was the Regional Attorney for the EEOC Milwaukee District Office where he directed litigation activities responsible for the recovery of benefits for victims of employment discrimination.

Since joining the Charlotte District Office in November, 1999, the office focus has been on improved customer service throughout the process from Intake to charge resolution. The Charlotte Office has worked aggressively to reduce inventory and processing times while greatly enhancing voluntary resolutions and benefits to victims. Outreach, ADR and Systemic litigation development are current program priorities for the District.

Mr. Daniels is a native of North Carolina with an undergraduate degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. He earned his Juris Doctorate at Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
