Two large Houston companies, Vitol, Inc. and Johnson Controls, Inc., violated federal law by retaliating against a female employee for filing a discrimination charge with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency charged in a lawsuit it filed today.

Federal Court Denies Motion for Summary Judgment on EEOC Race Harassment and Discrimination Claims Against WRS Compass

U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois has denied WRS Compass's motion of summary judgment on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's (EEOC) racial harassment and discrimination claims for seven former African-American employees, the agency announced today.  The court also denied summary judgment on the EEOC's retaliation claim for a former white employee who complained of discrimination.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) today announced that it is suing AN Luxury Imports of Tucson, Inc. and Autonation USA Corp. for subjecting two employees to harassment based upon their national origin, German and Polish, respectively.  The dealership allowed its managers and employees to routinely make derogatory comments about the employees' national origin.

Aqua Tri to Pay Nearly $500,000 to Settle EEOC Sexual Harassment, Retaliation Suit

An Irvine, Calif.-based pool supply company will pay $462,500 to resolve a sexual harassment, retaliation and constructive discharge lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today.  The EEOC had charged Aqua Tri, a supplier of pool sanitizing chemicals and other pool products, with subjecting a class of Hispanic employees to sexual harassment, retaliation for opposing it and forcing some of them out of their jobs.

Evon, Inc., Falls Restaurant Group, Inc., Adi Unser, Inc., and Adi Brothers Management Group, Inc.
