Notice

Please be advised that due to the current health situation, EEOC's Field Offices have temporarily stopped conducting in-person intake interviews. If you have previously scheduled in-person intake appointment, your appointment will be changed to a telephone interview. The office will not accept walk-ins at this time.

You are encouraged to visit the EEOC Public Portal (https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/) to schedule an intake appointment by telephone. The system can also be accessed by going directly to our website at https://www.eeoc.gov/.
 

If you are near a filing deadline (at least 180 days but generally 300 days) please call 1-800-669-4000.
 

For individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, you can reach EEOC by videophone at 1-844-234-5122. If you have a disability which prevents you from accessing the Public Portal or you otherwise have difficulty with accessing the portal, please call 1-800-669-4000.

Welcome to the EEOC Kansas City Area office located at 400 State Avenue, Suite 90046, Kansas City, KS 66101. The office is located downtown Kansas City, Kansas on the 9th floor of the Gateway Tower II building. The Kansas City Area Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except for federal holidays. Everyone visiting our offices must present a photo ID at the building security desk. Individuals wishing to file charges of discrimination may schedule an interview for time slots available between 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, except federal holidays. If the calendar is full, a person may still walk-in to the office between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 pm. We strongly encourage calling before visiting the office as a walk-in. If you elect to walk-in without an appointment, we cannot guarantee you will be interviewed that day.
