Notice

Please be advised that due to the current health situation, EEOC's Field Offices have temporarily stopped conducting in-person intake interviews. If you have previously scheduled in-person intake appointment, your appointment will be changed to a telephone interview. The office will not accept walk-ins at this time.

You are encouraged to visit the EEOC Public Portal (https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/) to schedule an intake appointment by telephone. The system can also be accessed by going directly to our website at https://www.eeoc.gov/.
 

If you are near a filing deadline (at least 180 days but generally 300 days) please call 1-800-669-4000.
 

For individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, you can reach EEOC by videophone at 1-844-234-5122. If you have a disability which prevents you from accessing the Public Portal or you otherwise have difficulty with accessing the portal, please call 1-800-669-4000.

Please be advised that due to the current public health situation, our ability to offer in-person interviews is limited. The San Jose Local Office will not conduct in-person interviews during this time. Intake interviews will be conducted by telephone. If you have previously scheduled an In-Person appointment, your appointment will be manually changed to telephonic, and you will be notified of this change by e-mail.

The San Jose Local Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Individuals wishing to file charges of discrimination may schedule an interview for time slots available between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, except federal holidays. If you are not able to schedule an appointment, please contact our office at (408) 291-7282 or by email at sanjgov@eeoc.gov before visiting the office and an intake questionnaire will be sent to you.

Debido a la situación actual de la salud pública, la oficina de la EEOC en San José no llevará a cabo entrevistas en persona durante este tiempo. Las entrevistas se llevarán a cabo por teléfono.
