EEOC Sues LogistiCare Solutions and HCM Staffing for Pregnancy Discrimination

PHOENIX – Phoenix call center LogistiCare Solutions LLC violated federal law when it fired temporary employees placed by a staffing company because they were pregnant, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed on Friday. Rogers Memorial Hospital Settles EEOC Disability Discrimination Case

MILWAUKEE -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Rogers Memorial Hospital, Inc., a Wisconsin-licensed, private, not-for-profit psychiatric system with three hospital campuses in the greater Milwaukee area (Brown Deer, Oconomowoc and West Allis), have reached a voluntary conciliation agreement to resolve allegations of disability discrimination raised by a former employee at its Oconomowoc location, the federal agency said today.

Champion Fiberglass Settles EEOC Suit for Class Hiring Discrimination

HOUSTON - Champion Fiberglass, Inc. ("Champion"), a Houston-area manufacturing company, has settled a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Sunridge Nurseries Settles Discrimination Lawsuit

FRESNO - Sunridge Nurseries, Inc., a grower in the grapevine nursery stock industry, has agreed to pay $237,500 to settle a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today. 

The EEOC's lawsuit alleged that Sunridge failed to re-hire a group of Filipino seasonal farm workers in retaliation for having complained about national origin/race discrimination. Some of these workers were long term employees.

FRESNO, Calif. - The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the California Prison Industry Authority (CALPIA) announced today the successful conciliation of a charge filed with the agency under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
